چکیده

Exposure to Escherichia coli during pregnancy may cause serious problems such as anemia, premature birth and an increased risk of inflammation the lining brain in fetus. Mahkota Dewa (Phaleria macrocarpa) is a medicinal plant that widely known used treat allergies chronic diseases. One compounds contained flavonoids. There certain mechanism action flavonoids inhibiting bacteria namely by damaging cytoplasmic cell wall bacteria. This study aims analyze antibacterial properties various flavonoid concentrations fruit extract against through laboratory experimental design testing antimicrobial potency well method, 10percent, 20percent, 40percent, 60percent, 80percent 100percent. Statistical analysis using One-Way Anova Test showed significant difference between changes concentration inhibition zones towards growth (p less than 0.05). Pearson correlation test very strong relationship with positive direction (r equals 0.874) which indicated higher dewa extract, stronger effect. Based on findings, it can be concluded had potential Coli vitro.

Testicular morphology of male rats exposed to Phaleria macrocarpa (Mahkota dewa) aqueous extract

OBJECTIVES This study was designed to investigate the effect of Phaleria macrocarpa aqueous extract (PM) on spermatogenesis by observing the histological changes of testes in adult male rats. MATERIALS AND METHODS PM was prepared by boiling the dried slices of P. macrocarpa fruits followed by filtering, centrifugation and freeze-drying to obtain the powder form. Eighteen Sprague Dawley adult ...

Bioassay-guided antidiabetic study of Phaleria macrocarpa fruit extract.

An earlier anti-hyperglycemic study with serial crude extracts of Phaleria macrocarpa (PM) fruit indicated methanol extract (ME) as the most effective. In the present investigation, the methanol extract was further fractionated to obtain chloroform (CF), ethyl acetate (EAF), n-butanol (NBF) and aqueous (AF) fractions, which were tested for antidiabetic activity. The NBF reduced blood glucose (p...

Wound-healing potential of the fruit extract of Phaleria macrocarpa.

The wound-healing potential of Phaleria macrocarpa was evaluated by monitoring the levels of inflammatory mediators, collagen, and antioxidant enzymes. Experimentally, two-centimeter-wide full-thickness-deep skin excision wounds were created on the posterior neck area of the rats. The wounds were topically treated with gum acacia as a vehicle in the control group, intrasite gel in the reference...
